This privacy policy explains which personal data Bieri-LED processes when you visit or use the online shop, for which purposes this happens and which rights you have.

2. Personal data we process

Depending on how you use the shop, we may process the following data:

technical access data such as IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system;
contact and customer data such as name, billing and delivery address, email address and telephone number;
order, delivery and payment data;
information you provide through the contact form or by email;
customer-account data and your cookie and consent settings.

3. Purposes of processing

We process personal data in particular to provide and secure the shop, answer enquiries, create and manage customer accounts, process orders, payments and deliveries, issue invoices and comply with legal obligations.

4. Customer accounts and orders

If you create a customer account or place an order, we use the data you provide to process the contract and manage your account. Required fields are marked as such. You may request deletion of your account by emailing us. Statutory retention obligations remain reserved.

5. Contact form and email

If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we process the information you provide to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. We do not use this information for other purposes unless you have consented or a legal basis applies.

6. Payment providers

Stripe may be used for card payments and TWINT. If PayPal is offered and selected at checkout, PayPal processes the data required for the payment. Depending on the payment method, payment data may be processed directly by the selected provider. The providers' privacy information also applies: Stripe and PayPal.

7. Shipping and other service providers

For delivery, we provide the required information, in particular your name, delivery address and order details, to the selected shipping provider. We may use specialised processors for hosting, technical security, email communication and shop operation. They process data only to the extent required for the relevant service.

8. International data transfers

Depending on the service provider used, personal data may be processed in Switzerland, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or other countries. For transfers abroad, we comply with the requirements of Swiss data-protection law, including an adequacy decision or suitable safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Transfers to payment providers are also subject to their privacy information.

9. Cookies and cookie settings

We use technically necessary cookies for sessions, the shopping cart, security and the basic functions of the shop. Optional statistics or marketing cookies are activated only if you consent to them. You can reopen and change your selection at any time using the "Cookie settings" button. Your selection is stored for a maximum of twelve months. If you reject optional cookies, the shop remains generally usable; individual optional functions may not be available.

10. Newsletter

If you separately subscribe to a newsletter, we use your email address to send it in accordance with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the newsletter or by contacting us.

11. Storage period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. Order, invoice and payment data are retained for as long as statutory retention obligations apply; this may be up to ten years in particular. Customer-account data is deleted when the account can be deleted and no statutory obligation or legitimate interest prevents this. Technical log data is kept only for as long as required for operation and security.

12. Your rights

Under applicable data-protection law, you generally have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and objection, and – where the legal requirements are met – to receive or transfer your data. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Please use our contact form. We may request suitable proof of identity to process your request.

13. Automated decisions

Bieri-LED does not use automated individual decisions for order processing that have legal effect or similarly significant effects on you. Payment providers may carry out their own security and fraud checks under their terms.
